There is a common misconception that significant places must be preserved unchanged. But there are many op­por­tu­ni­ties for change and adaptation​—​provided significance is not harmed.

I can help other design professionals to understand the cultural significance, which is the basis for everything.

I can review different design solutions, assess their im­pact on significance, and help to select a solution with the best balance. Being able to demonstrate these steps will be important when you seek heritage approval for the project.

I work with design architects, but I don’t take over their role. The heritage aspects of each project are my main concern, but I know they have to be kept in balance with many other issues.
